everywhere i turn, some one is sick so wouldn't you know the kids picked up whatever it is that's going around! i took russell to the doc yesterday because his cough was so bad i was worried about bronchitis. luckily it is just a cough with chest congestion. so we gots meds for that, and for natalie's cough that was keeping her awake at night. can you believe that russell slept through all of his heavy, deep coughing?! today was even worse for russell: his cough changed but it lasted all through the day, when before it was just at night. i had to run to the grocery store and with his chronic cough everyone kept staring at me like they were wondering WHY ON EARTH I BROUGHT HIM AROUND OTHER PEOPLE. look, i know what they're thinking... i think the same way myself. i just wanted to put a sign on him that said "
doc says he is not contagious, so back off!" but you better believe i ran through that store like i was running a marathon (not like
that would ever happen...) just so i could hurry up and get out of there. AND wouldn't you know russell decided to poop while in the shopping cart 5 minutes into my shopping, when i had about 20 things on my list! so not only was he attracting (or DETRACTING i should say) people with his cough, but also his nasty smelly pull-up as well! we ended up missing natalie's gymnastic class again (this was a make-up for yesterday's class) because i think they would have thrown me out with the way russell sounded and there are other little babies in the waiting area with us. hopefully i'll be able to get her in before the week ends, i know how much she loves to go :(
well that was a boring post... i think i just spent 1/2 hour talking about my kids' cough and poop--
sorry :/
i hope all my friends and family who are under the weather start to feel better soon! and i hope this one passes right by me!

russ's birthday is tomorrow--- we are going to the Alhambra Dinner Theater with both parents to see the Patsy Cline show. more on that later!
Def not boring post....kept me laughing so hard I had to read it out loud to Charlie. Yay, the little things we are looking forward to with kids!! ;-) We are so blessed to have you guys teach us the ways....Love Emily/Charlie
ReplyDeletelol...you're too funny. oh the joys of motherhood, right? well, i feel your pain. both of mine are sick right now and wouldn't you know we had a PARK birthday party this morning. so they were both outside in 50 degree weather with snotty noses and coughs. i'll probably have to take them to the doc on monday cause they both have congestion and eve's cough sounds aweful.
ReplyDeletehope ya'll have a great night at the alhambra and enjoy your break from the sick kids :). i LOVE the alhambra, but brad's not a fan AT ALL. you're lucky russell likes it!
